Buy the glove that feels slightly too tight in the shop. It will stretch within two rounds, and a glove with any slack in the palm is doing nothing except wearing out.
Leather gives better feel and dies faster, especially in the wet. Synthetic lasts longer and grips almost as well. Most people here play synthetic in the rainy months and leather the rest of the year.
Right-handed golfers wear the glove on the left hand. We mention it because someone asks every single week, and there is nothing embarrassing about not knowing.
