The Edge set is the club we sell most often to a golfer buying their second set of irons. The first set gets you round the course; this is the one you buy when you have stopped topping the ball and started noticing that your good strikes and your bad strikes go roughly the same distance.
The cavity back is doing that work. Weight is pushed to the perimeter of the head, so a strike off the toe loses far less than it would with a blade. You still get told when you have mishit it — you just do not get punished for it twice.
What to check when you handle them
Take one to the putting strip and look at two things. First, the sole: it should sit flat on the turf when the shaft is where your hands naturally put it. If the toe is in the air, you want a flatter lie angle, and we can tell you that in thirty seconds. Second, the shaft — if you are not sure between regular and stiff, you almost certainly want regular.
